About Caleb Reedy

Caleb Reedy is in the United States Army and undergoing advanced training in the field of collection intelligence at Goodfellow Airforce Base in Texas. He completes his training in October, after which he will receive his first service station. He underwent basic training at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. Caleb’s college degree and MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) scores also make him an Army Specialist.

Caleb’s Family Background

Born in 1997 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Caleb’s parents have had successful careers, passing down their work ethic and integrity to him and his brother and sister. Caleb’s mother worked for two Fortune 500 companies, and his father ran three successful accounting firms, with his current company in operation for 15 years. A graduate of Indiana University, his brother is a newspaper reporter and consults for various companies. His sister recently received a certificate from Cornell University in plant-based medicine and will be attending Purdue University this fall. She was also a state champion in gymnastics.

A Star Athlete in High School

Caleb Reedy graduated from Trinity Lutheran High School in 2015 as an honors student and member of the National Honor Society. He played football his senior year and was one of the leading receivers in Indiana. The team participated in Bishop Dullaghan Football Camps, where Caleb was named an all-star and all-county wide receiver. The camp is known nationally as the largest in the country for players at all positions.

He also played as a starting second baseman with his high school baseball team and won the Sectional Title in his sophomore year.

Sports weren’t Caleb’s only interest at Trinity. He also acted in the play, “Annie Get Your Gun.” In addition, the summer before his senior year, Caleb participated in the English Expedition to Europe and was fortunate to travel to Scotland, England, and France.

The College Years

After high school, Caleb attended Franklin College in Indiana to play football. His family’s strong ties and second home in The Sunshine State led him to transfer to the University of Tampa. He joined the national fraternity Tau Kapa Epsilon, where he was the social and financial chairman. During his time in Tampa, Caleb interned with the Disney College Program. While there, he was selected to be the head bat boy for the Atlanta Braves, which at that time conducted spring training at Disney. He also worked at ESPN Wide World of Sports and Hollywood Studios.

Following a family tragedy, Caleb returned to Indiana to finish his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting at Indiana State University (ISU). He graduated in 2021, was a Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity member, and was on the Dean’s list at ISU.

Drawn to Public Service, Helping Others

He joined the family’s accounting firm for a year and later returned to Florida to continue to work in accounting. While there, he met and made friends with firefighters and was drawn to public service and saving lives. Upon returning to Indiana, he received his fire one and two certifications and joined the Whiteland Fire Department.

Joining the Armed Forces was a natural progression for Caleb, providing him with the opportunity to serve his country and be the best soldier he could be. He excelled at Fort Sill, scoring high enough on the rifle range to be a marksman. He also had high scores on the Army Physical Fitness Test, reaching a score of 88%.

Volunteer Work Runs Deep

At his core, Caleb Reedy is a caring person who has continually sought opportunities to help people, both in his professional path with the Army and on a personal level. Volunteer work is essential to him. At Trinity Lutheran High School, he routinely volunteered for various causes. In college, as a member of a national fraternity, he also volunteered for several nonprofits.

The various philanthropic activities he participated in while in high school, college, and in the last few years include working at Camp Lakeview, the Lutheran Community Home, Meals on Wheels, Wheeler Mission, St. Jude Cancer Research, and the Indiana Donor Network.

Caleb’s Hobbies

Caleb’s love of football and basketball is evident as a player and fan. In addition to playing sports in high school and college, he grew up a huge fan of Indiana University basketball, the Indiana Colts, Indiana Pacers, Notre Dame football, and the Cincinnati Reds.

He also loves to travel, having been fortunate to go on adventures and trips throughout his life. His family loves everything Disney and has been annual pass holders since he was six, enabling them to vacation there often. He has been on several cruises to the Caribbean on Disney Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. He also vacationed at Myrtle Beach in the summers as a youngster and eventually transitioned to traveling to the Gulf Coast of Florida. He and his dad enjoyed a memorable snowmobile trip to Yellowstone in early 2024.

Caleb also enjoys downtime watching “Friends” and “How I Met Your Mother.”
